Damsel in Distress!

Don't you just hate it when people turn up at your house unannounced? especially when it's people you haven't seen in years? Well that's what happened to me today.

I was on the phone to Allira, studying mind you, when the other line went off. So I answered it and it was our neighbour saying that someone was at our gate. The gate buzzer isn't working so we didn't here them. I'm home alone, in track pants, hair in a frizz, looking and feeling totally disgusting because who cares what you look like when your studying? and I had to answer the door.

So it was my uncle and his family and my dads not home and so I ring him, my Uncle and him talk and there coming back tomorrow. Gah, I hate situations like those. You just don't feel up to facing the world this one day and Bam, someone unexpected shows up and it's not like anyone else can deal with it because your home alone.

So now that I've had my spat, I've found this fantastic quote that I would like to share with everyone.

… ‘our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.’
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

So there is this cool series of books called "Girlosophy" by a lady called Anthea Paul. The book that I got this quote from is called "Girlosophy: The Soul Survival Kit". It is truly inspirational book for all girls/women out there. I'm recommending it to everyone. It's full of beautiful sayings and things that just make you want to get up and do something! I encourage all girls to read or buy one, for mothers to buy it for there daughters and for girls to buy it for there friends! You won't regret it, truly.

Now there's this other topic I want to discuss... its called exams. Pain fill, horrible, mean exams. My last two are my hardest. I have so much to cover in Human biology and music.. lets not even go there. However, I am determined to get through it and get to the other side to reap the rewards! (which includes going to the Croatian club on Thursday morning at 2.30am to watch Croatia vs Russia on TV) ha ha

Anyways, back to studying for me, gahhh
